Reflection:
This story is about my son Jordan. Jordan through his own merit
is learning the meaning of perseverance. This biography is of him developing
his own personal growth by not wanting to give up because of his adversity
(fear of accidents).
Erick Erikson's theory of psychosocial development is being
demonstrated as Jordan progresses into the Latency Stage of achievement and
accomplishment (Identity vs. Inferiority) phase of his life.
After Jordan subjugated his fear, he said he was so happy
and elated that he stuck to a challenge and conquered it. His resolution and
motto towards facing any challenge is to conquer your fears first, and then you
can conquer any challenge.
My audience is anyone who feels paralyzed because of an
adversity, and anyone that needs the extra encouragement to keep persevering.
